Missed Opportunities
Street photography can be daunting. Tasked with capturing the essence of life in a specific environment, street photographers must not only be in the right place at the right time, but also attuned to the stories of individuals around them. Beyond composition, they need to anticipate moments and adapt their settings instantly, all to reveal the beauty in people’s everyday lives.
In this Soundscape Composition, I wanted to capture the feeling of doing street photography by recording what I heard while with my camera, showcasing the challenges that leads to missed opportunities, and how photography does not only require your eyes, but also your ears.
The photographs presented below were taken during this excursion, and are meant to be viewed in order, allowing you to follow the journey not only with what you hear, but with what you see.
